- Parktone Primary opened in 1961, in a quiet residential street of Parkdale. The school grounds are spacious and attractive. Traditional classrooms have been transformed into stimulating learning centres incorporating computer technology. Our motto 'Always Moving Forward' defines the mindset of our teachers, parents and students. We are always moving forward in our understanding and in the ways we work together.
Our school would be even better when it gets new buildings and new classrooms just like the grade 5 and 6 learning area. Tom Pyne 1/2E
ReplyDeleteI think that we should get IPads when they start selling in Australia.We should also put security cameras around the school to catch people littering.ned pyne 3/4
ReplyDeleteI think we should make our Prep playground bigger once our renovations have been completed. Because we are getting more students starting school. We should also build a new canteen so we can have special lunches and we should have a hall built so we don't have to be squashed up in one small room for assembly.
ReplyDeleteHi.....We should have a SMARTboard for the grade 3/4 class, cos we're missing out on the really extra cool stuff you can learn in class. The iTouch is really cool too but I think a SMARTboard would be just as good for us kids.

ReplyDeleteI think a shelter shed near the grade 1 and 2 rooms would be nice.
ReplyDeleteA new hall would be good too for assembly. Build some new swings in the play area.
I think the playground needs to become bigger, by mabye adding some more to it or, joining the playground together so ther is no gap in the middle.
ReplyDeleteSome two square or four square courts will be nice, because the good courts are near the top of the school, and that part is out of bounds.
as a parent I would love to see higher fences around the perimeter, to ensure safety and security..I have seen several around that still ensure a pleasing looking school.

I think we should do more sport and exercise so we can do better at the inter school sports.

ReplyDeleteafter the school.I also think more Mums and Dads should come to the working bees, I have lots of fun at them. Maybee we could have kids games at them and more Mums and Dads would come.
Kids should help at them.We should have more
lunch orders.
I think our school will be better when we get our new classrooms. I also think that some more bright colourful pictures on the walls would make it look better.

ReplyDeleteHi, I am Arya and I am a year 6 student at Parktone Primary. I think a good thing in the school is a new canteen so we can have special lunch orders every so often.

I also think we could open up the top of the school so we could play up there and last get higher fenses.

I think that we should build a hall so that we can have our concerts and movies at our own school. I also would like to have a canteen that sells hot food especially in Winter.

ReplyDeleteI would love Parktone to have a hall for all our assemblies, functions, sports, afterschool care and more importantly somewhere you can stay dry in winter. In the future money would be saved as you no longer have to hire venues. Love the idea regarding secure fences.

So many primary school are getting attention by holding fetes and markets.
ReplyDeleteParktone needs to follow this step and make it bigger and better.

To A parent, Parktone held an annual fete up until a few years ago. It became problematic as being a small school, there were very limited numbers of parents that were able to help put on such a large scale event. It ended up falling back on the Principal to organise whose core business should be education. As a result other means of promotion and fundraising have been adopted and to date have been more successful.
